Another USC Engagement Shoot

One thing you can always say about USC grads, they LOVE their school.  I honestly don't know of any other college institution that breeds as much school pride as USC.  I've been learning a lot about the campus from my last few tours (or shoots).  I even found out that the opening scenes from Ghostbusters were shot here!  Are you kidding me?  That's AWESOME!  Anyway, congratulations to Dan & Ashley, and thanks again for all the great info about USC!

Irvine Hills Engagement Shoot

I recently received a request to shoot a "Vintage Garden" type of feel for an engagement session.  After mulling over possible locations I finally settled upon a place where I first started practicing landscape photography in the hills behind the University of California, Irvine.  I was thrilled to be able to use this location for the shoot and the couple (who brought their dog!) ended up really enjoying it.  Here are some of the shots from the set:

Abalone Cove Engagement Shoot

Heading out to Rancho Palos Verdes was a bit of a drive for me, but well worth the trip!  What a great looking location; grassy cliffs, botanical gardens, a pebble beach, I had no idea this was going to have this much variety.  We had to get into the park a few hours before sunset (they close the gates at 4!) but it gave us plenty of time to explore before the shoot.  They're headed to their wedding in Panama soon, I wish them the best!

Poolside Engagement Shoot

You definitely don't need to travel far to get a nice variety of shots for an engagement shoot!  This couple preferred to stay close to home - lucky for them, the IAC takes really good care of their facilities!  Toward the end we took a quick trip down the freeway to Corona Del Mar to get a few shots in the overcast sunset.  Take a look at some of their favorites:

USC Engagement Shoot

Anha and I recently shot a couple's engagement where they first met - on the USC campus.  It was a challenge at first, when we drove up to the school, we realized that they were actually throwing a huge book fair on campus.  The entire university was littered with white tents and event staff, but I think we pulled it off pretty well!  Here are some of the couple's favorites from the shoot.
