Lakefront Family Portraits

Back when my family first moved to Yorba Linda in 1987, my brother and I became quick friends with the kids down the street.  There's nothing like getting a call from your childhood friend about a baby on the way that reminds you how much we've all grown up since then!  A few months later, I was honored to be asked to shoot their family photos spanning 4 generations.  Here are some of my favs from the shoot down at Lake Mission Viejo:

The first friends my brother and I met after the move from NY!

9 Month Portraits

I'll be the first to admit that it wasn't until I started photographing that I really appreciated that babies have an enormous personalities.  Last year I got to know a young family really well and was honored to have been asked to shoot baby Luca's 9 month portraits.  With parents like his, I know this guy's gonna grow up to do big things.

I cannot look at this picture without a sound effect in my head.

Miguel & Michelle's Engagement

Out of ideas for a good wedding gift?  How about an Engagement Shoot?  This session was actually a gift to the couple from the bride's cousin!  I thought it was a really cool idea for a wedding present, so I drove down to Santee to shoot at the couple's favorite local park.  They've been together since high school and it was plain to me that they've only had eyes for each other ever since.  After raising three beautiful kids together, Miguel and Michelle are tying the knot and definitely couldn't be happier.
